The Thanksgiving Feast at Ma Hill's house. Man, was it good! The best pecan pie in the world!

Sammy loves his stuffed animals....especially Ike, the dog...his other favorite is Curious George.

This kid can lift a 5lb weight...crazy....

Happy Birthday Sammy!!

Sammy turned 1 on 10/17. We had a big weekend....Erick and Samantha came down from Chicago and Mom and Dad came from Virginia. It was Sam's and Erick's first meeting.... Samantha is Erick's girlfriend, but Sam sure took a liking to her and so did we!

We had Sam's party on Sunday...he woke up from his nap to a house full of people...he was just a little bashful...at first..


So we broke out the gifts......



Sammy is not walking yet...but he was standing for long periods of time while playing with his new toys....it won't be long...


Then comes cake.....as his afternoon snack...



We didn't have a party hat for him...but I like the Mickey ears much better!

It was a great weekend! I loved that my family came...I just wish I had taken more pictures! My folks took us out for Thai food on Saturday...Sammy's first taste of Thai...I brought my camera...but it never left my purse....I really need to do better! He liked the chicken from my Pad Thai...but that ws about it. We'll have to work on that!

It won't be long....

until this little guy starts walking....



Sam has always seemed to be curious about how things are made...he has always studied his toys and objects in a way that I have never seen any of kid do. Here he is checking out his walking Lion...he does this everytime he plays with it...it is almost as if he is working on it.


When I bring the camera out now...he just wants it...he doesn't care about anything else at that point....

The Last 3 Months

Okay, I know...I have been really bad about posting. Three months is a little extreme....but I have been crazy busy. Sam has grown so much...he will be 1 year old next month!!! Lets see...he has learned to crawl, has two teeth...eats solid foods (sometimes)....uh has definitely developed a little temper. As this post will show, I haven't done the best taking the photos much less posting them....it has been nuts around here. We actually took another trip to VA...and I did not bring out the camera once! So, if you like to see pictures of a kid in his highchair...this post is for you!



Father's Day....Sam is excited!






Below is a sequence of images displaying Sam's temper. He loves this little piano, however there is a setting in which you hit a key and a song begins to play...but you have to continue to hit a key for the song to keep playing. Well, Sam got a little upset when the song stopped playing.

Jim's Birthday was this month. We celebrated his and Dylan's (sweet 16) on the same day because their birthday's are so close together. Here is Jim's cake...Dylan decorated it.
